“The Business 100 proved to be a tremendous series of events for Schneider Electric; from the Training Ride, through the great Networking Event, to the incredible day itself! The Business 100 proved very good value for money and built some lasting customer experiences. Vélo Birmingham Business 100 provides the business community with a unique opportunity to experience an unrivalled VIP participation experience. The Business 100 allows our riders to unlock exclusive training and networking opportunities, boost employee engagement and provide the perfect platform for your fundraising activities.

Last year, the Business 100 raised nearly £200,000 for good causes! Prizes for the top fundraisers included Martin Johnson CBE joining your team as the honorary 5th member on the day, and an all expenses trip for four riders to take part in the 2018 Cape Argos, courtesy of Klein Constantia.

There’s no obligation to fundraise, but if your team would like to you can ride for one of our Lead Charities or another charity of your choice.

BUSINESS 100: 2017

Training Ride

Starting at Purity Brewing, a fantastic local brewery company based in Redditch, Martin Johnson CBE took our Business 100 riders on a stunning 29-mile ride around the Warwickshire countryside before returning for some well-earned food and beer. It was a roaring success and the perfect start to their Vélo Birmingham experience.

Drinks/Networking Evening

Hosted at Park Regis, special guests for the evening, former professional cyclist David Millar and David Walsh, the Sunday Times journalist and best-selling author of Seven Deadly Sins, the story of his 18-year pursuit of Lance Armstrong, delivered some insightful cycling anecdotes as well as a Q&A. Drinks were in full flow, and it was the perfect excuse to have an evening off the saddle before the main event the following week.

Event Day

All Business 100 riders began the day in the exclusive starting wave led by Martin Johnson CBE, giving them plenty of time to return to the event village and relax in the Business 100 VIP area. Private sports massage, teas and coffees, juice and sandwiches were waiting for our riders upon arrival. Not forgetting those comfy sofas after 100 miles!

“The Networking Evening was very enjoyable and great fun to listen to some wonderful stories from both David Millar and David Walsh. The location, timing, nibbles & drinks were ideal, as was the ability to pick up the registration pack.”

“The Homeserve team were all made to be so welcome by Vélo Birmingham and Purity Brewery during the practice ride on Saturday. The organisation was first class, the domestique support riders were excellent, Martin Johnson was inspirational and the welcome pint and hog roast rounded off the ride perfectly.”
